Know More About Acrylic Prints

Well, there are a lot of things you don’t know about acrylic prints still. But let’s begin with the basics here. There are several uses of these prints both at a personal level and commercial level. Today there are many photo printing companies in Central Coast and a lot of photographers and artists who are making use of this particular technique of creating prints. Some of them have been using acrylic prints for a long time now. And a lot of them have come to rely on them to display their most intricate of works and paintings.

But What Exactly Are Acrylic Prints?
An acrylic print is the outcome of one of these two methods of printing. One way is to print it directly to the acrylic and the other way is to print it via face mounting.

Direct Method
The direct method of acrylic printing is what is preferred by several of the large print houses. This is because it helps them achieve better economies of scale and also because it saves time and effort. It is more affordable and involves much less labor to begin with. The machines used to produce these prints are economical to use and maintain. By using this method, any company can get into producing acrylic prints and churn out a large number of pieces in a day.

Mounting Process
But the most preferred process that is being followed to create acrylic prints is the mounting process. This is high in demand among certain sections of the society, particularly artists and photographers. It is a reliable process and is used after having produced an archival photo prints of the painting or photograph that is to be printed on the final surface. The second method is more expensive and here the photo gets printed on a high grade photo paper. This is then reverse mounted to the acrylic to create the final output. In this process the face of the print is bonded with framing grade acrylic.

What Are The Various Advantages Of Acrylic Prints?
Traditional photo printing in Central Coast has become very much acrylic centric because of the great output it produces. The biggest advantage is that the regular picture frames lack the clean, slick and modern finished look you can get from a custom acrylic print. This is especially beneficial when you are opting for bigger prints. These tend to warp or wrinkle when fitted in traditional frames. They also start looking worn out over time.

But an acrylic print on the other hand can easily protect the final output without obstructing the view by adding a glass in between the print and your eye. Acrylic prints offer a more timeless look and contemporary “frameless” style to your prints. Best of all, acrylics are greatly moisture resistant and will easily last you a lifetime. All you have to do is maintain them and care for them.
